God Is With You Wherever You Go… Pastor Jack Hibbs (So Very Happy He Is Back!!!) Calvary Chapel Chino Hills…

Pastor Jack Hibbs is back!  Today he is teaching us that God is with us no matter what we are going through.  He had 24 months of insomnia and he is back and teaching us from the book of Joshua. Chapter 1:1-10

God’s Charge to Joshua
1 Now it came about after the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, that the Lord spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ servant, saying, 2 “Moses My servant is dead; now therefore arise, cross this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them, to the sons of Israel. 3 Every place on which the sole of your foot treads, I have given it to you, just as I spoke to Moses. 4 From the wilderness and this Lebanon, even as far as the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and as far as the Great Sea toward the setting of the sun will be your territory. 5 No man will be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I have been with Moses, I will be with you; I will not fail you or forsake you. 6 Be strong and courageous, for you shall give this people possession of the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. 7 Only be strong and very courageous; be careful to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may have success wherever you go. 8 This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Joshua Assumes Command
10 Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying, 11 “Pass through the midst of the camp and command the people, saying, ‘Prepare provisions for yourselves, for within three days you are to cross this Jordan, to go in to possess the land which the Lord your God is giving you, to possess it.’” Joshua. Chapter 1:1-10

I hope that you enjoy this as much as I did and really take this great teaching to heart.  We all have trials that we go through in this world and life can be so very hard sometimes.  The really great thing about being a Christian is that God will walk with us through everything that we go through.  Jesus Christ should be our reason for living and we need to cling to Him and learn to let go of the world and get into His Word and take time daily to spend quiet time with Jesus.  We have all gone through the fire some of us have had money problems, insomnia, cancer, problems in our marriages, problems with children and any other problems that can plague us.  When I went through lung cancer I really got close to Jesus.  I found out just how much He truly loved me!!  It didn’t even matter to me if I had died because of it.  But Jesus had other plans and allowed me to come through lung cancer and chemo and He showed me that even when I walked through fire He was with me.  He never left me or forsake me.  He gave me a joy like I have never known in the midst of what most people think is the worst thing that could happen.  Lung cancer became one of the greatest gifts I have ever been given by God.  The day I got home from the hospital he gave me this Scripture:

4 When Jesus heard that, He said, “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.”  John 11:4

That became my life verse and the Lord has continued to bless me daily no matter what happens in my life or the hardships that happen.  We need to live by faith and not by our feelings or the preceptions we have.  That is where time with Jesus in the Word is essential to strengthen your walk no matter what happens in your life.  The ups and downs will come and go and we have to come back each time we have one because our God is able.  I hope that you enjoy this teaching from Pastor Jack Hibbs and I hope that you were as blessed as I was!  Let’s all continue to keep him in our prayers as he fights his battle with insomnia.  I would also like to add when your battles come never hesitate to ask brothers and sisters to pray for you and with you.  We are all Christian Soldiers and soldiers face battles.  The difference is we have Jesus Christ with us through it all!!!  Stand on that faith Christian Soldiers!!!  We’ll see you here, there, or in the air!!!  Maranatha!!!!  😀

Teresa is a Christian wife, mother and grandmother residing in Honolulu, Hawai'i. Though she first found Jesus in 1971, it wasn't until 2009, when she was diagnosed with lung cancer, that she truly drew near to Jesus and began living her life to serve Him. Though she was told that the outlook was bleak, by the grace of God and the amazing surgeons and oncologists He brought into her life, Teresa is now 8 years cancer free. She has since devoted her time to sharing the Good News of the gospel with all those she meets and talks to in person and online. She serves as a counselor and "grandma" on several different websites, offering counseling advice and prayer to believers and non-believers searching for answers. Teresa also has a passion for prophecy and the imminent rapture of the church and spends much of her time sharing news stories and Scripture indicating all of the prophecy happening in our world, everyday, before our very eyes.

    Teresa,
I first started listening to Pastor Jack a few years ago on my drive home from work in Michigan via Family Talk on Sirius XM. I remember it was a teaching on the book of Revelation, but then I realized how applicable yet joyous his sermons were, and I sought him out recently. About a month ago, I downloaded his app and have begun his Isaiah study as well as a few others. I was looking for his Isaiah study online, and when I couldn’t find it online (instead of having to use the app on my phone), I started searching to find out more about the life and testimony of Jack Hibbs. I saw ‘Jack Hibbs health’ as a major search history item, and thought, “Oh, no–I hope Pastor Jack is ok!”. When I learned of his insomnia, I was floored. Then I came across this blog and this message from Pastor Jack, and it brought me to major tears. I recently wrote my own testimony about becoming very ill as a way of grabbing my attention and ‘purifying’ me from things I was seeking God’s grace in. God spoke to me through His Word, and now I can see even more clearly that He loves me. Pastor Jack hit every single nail right on the head through God’s Word (no pun intended). I just wanted to leave a note to say Thank You for your devotion and for this website. It has brought me peace, and I pray for you in your endeavors. Thank you!

Mindy I just want to thank you for your kindness!!! I am so blessed to be able to share prophecy and great bible teachers to other Christians and my family. Being Biblical is very important to me so I am very careful about the Pastors that I follow. Pastor Jack is a favorite of mine as well. He makes studying the Word joyful and I have learned so much from the Lord coming through him. I attend Calvary Chapel here in Hawaii and I know that for the most part they have very good Pastors that teach the whole Word of God. I never expected to receive anything through this but it blesses me so much to know that other Christians enjoy coming here and learning the Word of God from wonderful Biblical teachers!!! May God bless your sweet heart!!! Maranatha!!! 😀
