Springtime is A Time of New Beginnings…

Springtime is probably on of my favorite times of the year.  I live in Hawaii where it is pretty beautiful all the time, but there is nothing like Springtime in Hawaii.  The flowers are blooming and the smell in the air is amazing!  Especially after a spring shower.  Today as I get into the Word of God I was so blessed by this Scripture in the Song of Solomon:

For behold, the winter is past, The rain is over and gone. Song of Solomon 2:11

Springtime has always meant new life to me.  A fresh start. Two of my favorite days are during Springtime. They are  Resurrection Sunday where Jesus gave us all a fresh start when He died on that cross and arose from the dead.  The other day is Mother’s Day when we have the chance to see how blessed we truly are with our children and grandchildren.

I would also like to add for the courageous women who give their children up to be adopted so that they can have a chance at a good life that the mother could not give them at that particular time in her life.  It is a fresh start for both the child and the mother. That takes real courage to be so selfless and brave!  I just want to tell all of you who gave up their children that the Lord loves you so much for this precious gift. You allowed your child to have a life instead of aborting them.  I would also like to say that we as Christians should also help our single mother’s out there who are raising their babies alone.  It is difficult to raise children with both parents and doing it alone is very difficult.  If you know a single mom how about making an extra dish of food and dropping it off one evening for her so she has more time to spend with her children.  Little things sometimes can mean so much!!

We all go through hard times in this world and we have to walk through the bleakness and the darkness of the winter.  However, there is always the Spring to look forward to when the sun comes up and the flowers come back to life and the earth seems as though it has been reborn.  So no matter how hard your life seems right now, don’t allow it to keep you down.  Tomorrow is another day.  Ask the Lord to give you a fresh start this Spring and fresh eyes to see all of the beauty of His creation.  God bless you!

Teresa is a Christian wife, mother and grandmother residing in Honolulu, Hawai'i. Though she first found Jesus in 1971, it wasn't until 2009, when she was diagnosed with lung cancer, that she truly drew near to Jesus and began living her life to serve Him. Though she was told that the outlook was bleak, by the grace of God and the amazing surgeons and oncologists He brought into her life, Teresa is now 8 years cancer free. She has since devoted her time to sharing the Good News of the gospel with all those she meets and talks to in person and online. She serves as a counselor and "grandma" on several different websites, offering counseling advice and prayer to believers and non-believers searching for answers. Teresa also has a passion for prophecy and the imminent rapture of the church and spends much of her time sharing news stories and Scripture indicating all of the prophecy happening in our world, everyday, before our very eyes.
